Joe Reisman collection of noncommercial recordings [sound recording]

Collection consists of non-commercial sound recordings separated from the Joe Reisman collection of scores (located in the NYPL Music Division). Recordings include demo tapes compiled by Reisman, orchestral session tapes (primarily of Reisman's arrangements for Reader's Digest Music), recordings of Reisman's music for television shows including 'The Cop and the Kid' and the unproduced show 'The Aeromeds', and other recordings possibly submitted to Reisman for his review.

Joe Reisman (b. Dallas, TX, 16 Sept. 1924, d. Los Angeles, CA, 15 Sept. 1987) was raised in Ennis, Texas, and attended Baylor University, Texas Western College and Texas Christian University before starting his music career as a saxophonist and arranger with the Herb Miller band.
